La forma di questo film procurerebbe piacere solamente ad una mente malata, ad uno spettatore dalla personalità contorta, un voyeur , un maniaco sadico. Pasolini è al corrente di tutto questo e proprio per questo motivo ha voluto fare un film spiacevole: per vedere se l'italiano del suo tempo riusciva ad andare oltre le apparenze. Purtroppo non ci riesce e continua a non riuscirci, perché dove si parla di Salò se ne parla male.
Paradossale il fatto che l'aggettivo capolavoro possa essere attribuito ad un film spiacevole, ma è proprio questo il punto della critica, o no?
